International Symposium: "Science to support Circular Economy"

The circular economy concept is being widely studied as a possible path to a sustainable development. By keeping material resources in our economy as long as possible, primary raw material demand as well as waste generation, and associated environmental impacts should be reduced. To what extent a circular economy can actually contribute to a more sustainable use of resources and which challenges are to be tackled in this regard are subject of the International Symposium on “Science to Support Circular Economy”, which will be hosted at the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Anthropogenic Resources at TU Wien on September 19th, 2018. Leading researchers from various European countries will present and discuss their latest research in an informal setting.

The Symposium is open to all participants, who register before August 20th, 2018.

Master and PhD students are invited to present their research during the workshop in a dedicated poster session. There will be a best poster award worth € 300,-.

Deadline for submitting an extended abstract (of 2 to max. 4 A4 pages) is June 30th, 2018.
